Caution:This section is very personal to my wife and me, as we describe some aspects of our faith in God. If you are not interested in this subject, please return to the main menu. We intend to offend no one, but are compelled to explain how and why we have labored with our "baby": AgAttack. We have no children, just a couple of dogs, so this business is something like a child to us. God RoomWhat is God Room?Shouldn't it read God's Room? Not if you are following a lesson from the late Dr. Bob Pierce, founder of World Vision. As told by Franklin Graham, Chairman of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, Dr. Bob taught that you need to let God do His work in His time. "God Room" occurs when man does everything he possibly can, but failure is the apparent result -- then something unexpected happens. A miracle occurs. When God wants to accomplish something that man can not do on his own, no matter how hard he tries or works, God brings the impossible to pass. This is "God Room." As the founder and chief engineer of AgAttack, I have worked as hard and as smart as I know how. While there is little, in some ways, to show for ten years of work, I have gotten this far by the grace of God, nothing less. God has given me special insight and inspiration for our products. In spiritual ways that I consider more important that physical ways, I have been blessed beyond my understanding and comprehension. I have experienced God's Holy Spirit ministering to me with counsel, wisdom, caution, encouragement, peace, joy, and love. What is the point of "God Room" as applied to AgAttack? Simply this: if God wants our business to survive or thrive, He is going to have to do the impossible. Nothing less than God's action is needed. I have done everything that I know how. As of 2006, we are no longer working full-time on AgAttack. God may change this, but it will be His decision, not ours. Do you wonder why am I writing this? First, I would like for you to know that my wife and I have faith in the God of the Bible. We are imperfect, especially in my case, but we have chosen to put our faith in God's Son, Jesus. We certainly don't consider ourselves better than anyone else for doing this, because we believe that God drew us to Himself. We have no room to boast. While I do not want to offend anyone, perhaps you too, will think about your own relationship with God. Secondly, I write this so that you may give thought to the "God Room" principle in your life. There is only so much that we can do, only so far that we can go on our own, yet God can do so much more that we can possibly realize. Have you gotten to your point where you are ready to let God completely take control of everything in your life? I have. Thirdly, I am not writing this in expectation that God will bless AgAttack because I have somehow challenged God to do something special. God's reasons for prospering a business are unknown and perhaps even unknowable to me. I have gotten to the point where I understand as completely as I can that nothing further will happen unless AgAttack has a "God Room" experience. Since God is in total control of this, I experience no pressure or concern. God can do all things. He will do for AgAttack what is best in His eyes. Our trust in Him remains complete. Our World ViewMy wife and I believe in the God of the Bible: One God with three aspects: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. My, albeit poor, analogy in One God with three aspects is a normal 3-leafed clover. It is one clover, but has three leaves. All three parts of God work perfectly together because they are One -- they cannot be separated. We believe that God wants us to be with Him forever in heaven. God has never made, nor is it possible for God to make a mistake. We, however, make mistakes constantly. The Bible says that the penalty for even one mistake is physical death. That is our destiny. Yet God wants us to be with Him and He implemented a plan that we can choose to follow that will take us to heaven. Using my words, I would explain this plan as a trade. We trade everything that we have for everything that God has. We trade in our mistakes for the perfection of God. We trade our ideas and insights for God's wisdom. We trade our puny efforts to do good for the goodness of God. We trade our physical body for a spiritual body that will be with God in heaven forever. We give up everything that is going to die or pass away for something that is imperishable. It seems too good to be true. Perhaps this is a reason that some won't listen to God. Others want their good work to account for something. Yet with God, it is all our nothing. Either you give Him everything, withholding nothing (and get everything), or you end up with nothing. No one forces us to make this trade. We choose where we will spend eternity. Don't all paths lead to God? We believe that they do, but perhaps not in the way that you might think. Each system of faith has its own God or gods. These systems can't all point to a One and the Same God, because each system makes its own unique claim. There are very clear conflicts in the individual depictions and descriptions of the various gods and God. For example, Jews (that do not believe that Jesus is God) and Muslims say that Jesus was a prophet, but not God. Christians believe that Jesus was and is God. Both claims cannot be correct. You cannot believe that both claims are true. Your particular choice leads you down a specific path of faith in one system and lack of faith in alternative systems. If you try to claim that you believe in all systems, then you are lying to yourself, because all systems cannot be true at the same time. If this is the case, you actually have no belief in any faith system. A second illustration of differing faith claims are Buddhists. They see God in everything, but not exclusively in the God of the Bible. This view clearly contradicts the Biblical view of the One and Only God: with three aspects -- Father, Son and Holy Spirit. You must choose one faith system to believe in, even if it is faith in yourself alone. All faith systems eventually have conflicts on who God is, what He has done and how we can approach Him. We have chosen to believe exclusively in the God of the Bible. In another sense, though, we believe that all paths do eventually lead to the same One and True God. This will happen when we die and stand before God to answer for our faith. God welcomes to heaven all who place their complete trust in Him. Yet we must place our trust in a faith system while we are alive. We can't chose after death (when the correct answer will be obvious). God is so kind to us in allowing us to choose whomever we wish to serve and believe in. Then God holds us accountable for that choice. It really is a fair system. Our advice: choose carefully and wisely! Let me illustrate how multiple faith systems won't lead to the same end. I will use three analogies, one from football, one from a common road map and a third from mathematics. Football fans generally have one favorite team. They are faithful to their team despite ups and downs that may occur during the season. They hope that their team will make it to the Super Bowl or World Cup. Do all of these teams win the Super Bowl (or World Cup)? Of course not, only one team wins in the end. Not all teams get to the Super Bowl and only one claims the winning prize. Only one faith system will be proven to be correct in the end. When you look at a map, do all roads from one particular city lead to a different specific city? There may be several, or even many roads that you can take to get from one city to another, but not every road gets there. The routes that don't lead from one city to another are analogous to the faith systems that do not lead to the God of the Bible. The one or more routes that you can take from this one city to the other is analogous to the many different denominations and independent Christian churches. Different routes, yes, but they start from where you are now and end up in the heavenly home of the God of the Bible. Using mathematics as a third illustration may be helpful to some. In solving a mathematical problem there may be several answers that are close to being right, but only one that is truly correct. There are many threads of truth in nearly all religions, which make them closer to being right than others, but there can only be one correct answer. [I am grateful to someone I don't know for this analogy. I found this in a chat room.] Our AcronymAs God Always Teaches, Transformation Accompanies Christian Knowledge The AgAttack name came about as an acronym for a truth about God. When a person understands God's plan for offering them a life in heaven, there should be a transformation evident in that person's life. This is not to say that everyone will be able to instantly see that transformation. Over time, a Christian is transformed increasingly into the image of God. As we give more and more of ourselves over to God, God replaces those faulty parts that we trade in, with more and more of Himself. We can see this process at work in us, and at some point others may be able to notice as well. The Bible is full of stories of people transformed by the power of God. It appears to me that each transformation is unique. No two people have the same experience, but the common element is that every one of God's children goes through a process of transformation. This process is completed when we die, so that we are perfectly ready for our new life in heaven. Becoming a Follower of JesusAre you interested in a life trade-in? Are you interested in Biblical heaven? Your choice, of course, but if you are interested, read on. God wants us to be with Him forever, but God cannot allow impurity to stand before Him. We are impure. We have done things wrong in our life and our mind (if we are honest) has told us this. We cannot stand before a pure God unless God makes a way for us. God has made that way. God sent His Son, Jesus, to earth. God did this by the power of the Holy Spirit to form God and man inside of a woman (Mary, a virgin). Jesus was 100% God and 100% man, and the only One ever like this created by God. Jesus lived His entire life without ever making a mistake. This entitled Him to live forever in His physical body, but He gave up His own physical life to give us spiritual life. He allowed Himself to be killed as a trade-in for us. After Jesus died, God raised Him from the dead as proof that His death provided reconciliation between God and man. God asks us if we want this reconciliation, this trade-in. Will we place our trust in Jesus to take us to heaven? Do we believe that God gave His one and only Son to die for us? If so, we are on our way to heaven. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 2 Corinthians 13:14 Feel free to contact me at AgAttack@comcast.net Some ViewpointsMy wife and I have ministered in a variety of settings for over 20 years.
